 Fairfield Glade, is a 12,000 acre  Residential Resort Communitry located on the Cumberland Plateau between Nashville and Knoxville on Rt. I-4. with easy access to Chattanooga and Pidgeon Forge, the home of "Dollywood."

Many of the property owners have homes in other states so the population fluctuates especially with the Time Shares in the summer. For recreation ther are 11 lakes to enjoy boating and fishing, the lakes range in size from 5 to 201 acres. There are two marinas with boats for rent, 10 tennis courts, 2 indoor and 8 outdoor.

For the golfers, there are 5---18 hole courses, several with club houses and good restuarants. These courses are quite challenging and offer beautiful mountain and woodland views.

There is a new Community center with an Olympic size swimming pool, exercise facilities and  a large community room for conventions, dances and craft shows etc. 

In the Village Mall there are several fashion and gift stores, beauty parlor, massage and nail services, also a small grocery/pharmacy and a post office and bank.

Several church denominations and an eye clinic and just recently opened is an extention of the Crossville Medical Center, a brand new building with walk-in clinic, mamogrophy and other services. There is also an assisted living facility just recently opened

Horse back riding stables is open to the general public and has boarding facilities.

On Peavine Road leading to Fairfield Glade, is a Winery and the "Brass Lantern Restaurant", Comfort and Hampton Inns also a liquor store and several other small restaurants. A small shopping area holds a food store, banks and a Dollar General.

An interesting drive is to take Peavine Road to Catoosa and Hebbertsberg Rd. and come out at Crab Orchard. There you can go to Renegade Mountain, a residential area some 4 miles up from rt 70 east reaching an elevation of 2300 ft.
